Global citizenship is of paramount importance in the flourishment of societies and countries. Indeed, it intrinsically arranges all the patterns that govern the social life in the global world through a set of operational fundamentals that might guarantee and sustain peace and harmony among citizens. In this respect, global citizenship vests the citizen with a set of privileges and rights, and dictates to him some duties to be appropriately exercised and effectively performed. Consequently, it is inevitable for the educational system to target particular global citizenship skills and potentials among its adherents. In other words, education should positively contribute to, and prompt the foundation of the responsible, active global citizen.
